Christmas is coming!

And with it, Christmas carries the impressive dynamic range of the A7R. This is NOT HDR, just a raw edited in lightroom and photoshop:

I could not agree more with David at SoundImagePlus and his assessment of the camera.
But hey, it is not about gear, it’s all about photography isn’t it?
So here come some other pics from my recent brief trip to Bologna! Starting with some random street views. All following photos have been shot RAW and edited with Lightroom 5.3 (all of them) and some fine tuned with Photoshop CC (mostly unsharp masks, which I cannot for the life of me replicate in any other software, not even LR!).

Then a couple from the the bridge over the central train station, an ode to industrial archeology (it will soon be replaced by the High Speed station nearby).

Not very traditional maybe, at least for Christmas, but we ended up in a great Chinese/Japanese + Western fusion restaurant.

FE 2.8/35 f2.8, ISO 1600, 1/100, handheld (missed AF, which focused the background)

The day ended in a menacing but very cosy hotel.
